Compliance and AssessmentThe Regulatory Authority for family day care (like all childcare) is the NSW Department of Education and Communities and the National Quality Standard Regulatory Authority. Our Service complies with the National Quality Framework (NQF) including the National Quality Standard (NQS), the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Regulations (Education and Care Services National Regulations). Our Service is regulated by the new national body for Early Childhood Education and Care – the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) as well as the state licensing department in our State/Territory.

SHCFDC has comprehensive Public Liability Insurance renewed every year and the Educator's premises is subject to a monthly home safety visit from the Child Care Unit Staff. Renewal of the Educator Registration is subject to Annual Safety Inspection of the Educator's Family Day Care premises.
Declared Approved Learning Framework.
Section 168 of the National Law requires the Approved Provider /Proprietor: Debra Casey and Nominated Supervisor: Education and Care Service to ensure that a program is delivered to all children being educated and cared for at the service that:
- Is based on the Early Years Learning Framework. (EYLF)
- and My Time Our Place (MTOP)
- Is delivered in a manner that accords the approved Learning Framework
- Is based on the development needs, interests and experiences of each child enroled in to SCFDC.
