Our Educators

How qualified are they?

All of our Educators hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Child Care and Education or a Diploma in Children Services (Early Childhood Education and Care). We also have some Educators working towards University qualifications.

Background checks

Our Educators undergo a comprehensive interview process and background checks. All our Educators and all family members over 18 years have the Working With Children Check.

Do they know first aid?

All Educators are required to hold current Senior First Aid Certification, refreshed every three years. They also hold certificates in Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management.

Can I get References?

Absolutely. We can provide references from current and past parents. Also work and character references can be provided from any prior childcare positions Educators may have.

Is their home clean and safe?

All Educators' premises are subject to a monthly home safety visit from the Child Care Unit Staff. Renewal of the Educator Registration is subject to Annual Safety Inspection of the Educator's Family Day Care premises. Regulations require strict cleaning and safety compliance.

What if there are issues?

It is the role of the Approved Provider, the Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader to make sure the needs of the children and parents are met, while maintaining a fair and equitable work environment for the Educator. Any issues with any part of the service can be openly discussed with the co-ordination unit.
